478,000 Guests in February

February was another busy month at Keflavík Airport, as the year continues to unfold with steady traffic through Iceland’s main gateway. According to KEF’s passenger forecast, nearly 8.4 million guests are expected to pass through the airport in 2025.
A total of 477,833 guests traveled through the airport in February, marking a 2.8% decrease compared to February last year but remaining in line with projections.
A total of 20 airlines operated flights to 65 destinations. The most popular destinations among guests were London, Copenhagen, Manchester, Paris, and Amsterdam.
The busiest day of the month was February 23, when 22,395 guests made their way through the airport.

According to the Icelandic Tourist Board, around 42,091 Icelanders departed in February, representing a 12% increase compared to last year.
Departures of foreign guests from KEF totaled 146,936, a 5.6% decrease from February last year.
The majority of foreign departures were accounted for by British travelers (28% of the total), followed by American guests (19%), Chinese visitors (5%), Dutch travelers (4%), and French guests (4%).
